• Lead Engineer responsible for transfer of process and engineering technology of a $50 million business to Henkel – Hua Wei Electronics Joint Venture.

• Coordinated transfer of capital equipment valued at $5 million from US to China. Tasks included identifying appropriate equipment, coordinating the decommissioning, preparation for shipment, importation to China, and reinstallation at new facility.

• Assisted in determining specifications for capital equipment expansion, new $6 million facility design and construction, and pilot development laboratory equipment.

• Implemented yield improvement programs in molding powder production area as part of cost savings and quality improvement initiatives. Improved yields from 93.7% to 95.3% over 4 years resulting in direct total savings of approximately $800,000.•

Proposed, planned and managed small capital projects with total value of over $500,000. Projects included liquids agitation upgrades, purchase of new reactors, and new technology development. Completed all projects within budget and on time.


MOBIL CHEMICAL COMPANY

• Planned and executed Unipol pilot plant programs in support of new polyethylene catalyst development projects and production plant support.
• Designed, executed and analyzed results for an experimental pilot plant program to improve Unipol reactor operability for metallocene catalyst development program.
• Used ASPEN to confirm phase equilibria in Gas Phase Unipol reactor to ensure condensation-free operation in fluidized bed.

• Supported plant operations for commissioning of new equipment and commercialization of new catalyst systems.
